This will be the very only post I am writing in English. Last week, I abandoned my hometown in Ohio. I took two buses, a train* and three planes to get to where I am now, València. A city “of flowers, light and colour”, as I was able to read in a very useful prospect at the travel agency.
Why I came here is not easy to explain. I guess there should be personal reasons in it, as well as cultural reasons, too. Of course, I did not know this last thing when I rushed here, but it seems that here, there is a nice suburban contracultural movement, along with a great density of musicplayers per hundred valencians.
I am here since just three days, and, as far as I have been able to read at the Wikipedia, the language that fits best to my personality and my intentions is catalan -here, they call it valencian, I just learnt that when I asked the guy next door why he would not answer me in catalan, although I spoke to him in that language-. Well, so my first proposal here is to learn that language. I hope I will be able to write some songs in catalan valencian very soon.
Well, the 30-min internet card has nearly accomplished it functions, I just got one minute left to say goodbye, see you soon!
bs
PS: Having the will to send a powerful artistic and punk message to my collegues at my hometown, I burnt the homemade taperecordings at the bus station before I left. I want a full new start… punk it, baby!
* (well, technically, two, considering the subway I took here)
